Which crossbow is suitable for me?
Man Kung offers a wide variety of crossbows both for starters and seasoned archers. It can be difficult to decide your next model from our catalogue of crossbows, but we've got you covered. Here are some things to keep in mind when you're browsing for a new model.
Range & location
At what range and location do you intend to shoot? Before purchasing a model, it's smart to think of how you want to use the crossbow. If you only have a small space available to shoot, it is smarter to go for a lighter model, as strong models will demolish target bags at close range. On the other hand, if you're intending to use your crossbow outdoors in a long range setting, you might want to go for a model that's a big more powerful than what you need, as to compensate for potential wind.
Bow press
There are two types of crossbows, recurve and compound. Compound models have cams, while recurve models don't. Generally a bow press is necessary in order to change the string of a compound model, while the string of a recurve model can be changed without one.
Use-case
When selecting a crossbow, think about how you're going to use it, and consider your own fitness/strength.
Not all models are compatible with cocking strings or cocking winches. So if you're uncertain of the draw weight you're able to pull, select a model that is compatible with a cocking string/winch. Depending on how tall or wide you're built, it may be smarter to go for an adjustable model. This means that the stock of the crossbow can be moved back or forward depending on your own preferences.
Next up, if you're planning to travel a lot with it, it might be easier to go for a lithe model. If you're keen on using specific accessories, like a sturdy bipod to keep your aim steady, it's wise to check which accessories match up with the model you're looking at.
